OK, we're officially in GO MODE! On May 7, we closed on our construction loan. Much negotiation was needed in choosing a foundation/concrete wall contractor. It's amazing the price for concrete! In the meantime, we have buried phone cable, temporary power, a water meter, and a beautiful and stylish port-a-john! Carolina Concrete Walls started staking out the house on Monday, and they will pour footings today.
There is some action going on up and down the street...this is the lot (where we stole the dirt from) all cleaned up and now has grass coming up again! Mendel Hawkins is building a home next door to our friends, The Metcalfs.
The house across the street from us is under contract!
The beautiful home 2 down from us that is a new construction from Jerry Miller is sold!
