Granite guys come tomorrow to make a template for the kitchen and bathroom counters.  David is taking tomorrow off to work on the home surround-sound system.  We have some lighting to install and another fan on the screened porch.  We are still trying to decide about landscaping.  We had a great designer draw a "vision," we just need the money to fund it!  Lots to do in a few weeks!

Kitchen cabinets delivered, floors stained, and shower doors & screen up!

Waiting for ovens!
Love all the details!  When we started this adventure, I never thought I'd be choosing even the smallest detail as the decorative moldings on the cabinetry!

Lot of drawers!

It's hard to see, but the screen is up on the porch!

25% Red Mahogany, 25% Sedona Red, 50% Natural = Perfect color!

Not much privacy, but it sure is pretty!

Columns are done, just waiting on paint.  I have a pretty smart husband!

Deck, bathroom vanities, fans, and a pebble floor

As usual, our framer comes through with great work and great creativity!  Jeremy brought his guys on Monday and they got so much done by Thursday.  He is coming back next Saturday for the balusters, handrail, and stairs.  We interviewed two landscapers this week, and closed on a loan to get a little more money to finish this giant project.  David is leaving Tuesday for work out of town - I'll be holding down the fort while we install plumbing fixtures, sand, and stain the floors.  Columns were completed this afternoon, I helped David work hard to get them just right - they look great, more pictures to come!  The garage and all interior rooms are swept and ready for stain and carpet.  3 weeks maybe?

How many people does it take to hang a light fixture?

In our case, 5!  One to climb to ladder, two to hold the ladder, one to get the drill and another to flip the switch.  This quintet did a pretty good job I think!
Didn't expect this to be my favorite chandelier, but it is!
That's a long way up there!
"The music and magic...doo doo doo doo SOLID GOLD!"  I told Keslynne she could practice being a Solid Gold Dancer under this thing!

Look at all that rock!

The small corners made us nervous, but the masons did a great job!

Color name:  Edgy Gold...looks green to me!

Shower Seat

Still left to complete:  deck, screen on porch, garage doors, landscaping, hardwood floors stained and finished, carpet installed, cabinets and granite installed, surround sound speakers, security system, front columns...whew...sounds like more than I thought we had to do...
Keslynne and I still packed our first round of boxes this weekend though!
